STEPPING STONES NIGERIA CHILD EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION WINS "RISING STARS AWARD" 2011

September 2011 will remain evergreen in our hearts, as it marked a turning point in our work with children and families. STARS Foundation, a reputable international organization in the United Kingdom crowned our efforts with the Rising Star Award, in recognition of SSNCEF’s work with children and their families.

The STARS Foundation (STARS) improves the lives of disadvantaged children around the world by supporting organisations which meet their health, education, and protection needs. ‘STARS’ is of the belief that effective and well-run NGOs are best placed to respond to the needs of the children they serve.

Every year, STARS Foundation offer Impact Awards to charities in Africa-Middle East and Asia-Pacific working with children in the area of Health, Education and Protection.

In Year 2011 Impact Awards, more than 900 NGOs from Africa alone participated and we are delighted that SSNCEF, although a very young organisation, after a rigorous two-stage process, was selected as one of the best NGOs from Africa and consequently awarded the “Rising Star Award 2011”.

The award ceremony holds in November 2011 in London, United Kingdom. We humbly dedicate this award to all our friends and supporters and once again reaffirm our commitment to safeguard, protect and promote the rights of children in Nigeria.
